G|B|B|S partner Eric Newmark represented an individual accused of felony drug possession in Hudson, Wisconsin. Newmark argued, following a contested hearing on probable cause, that the State had insufficient evidence to proceed. The Court disagreed and ordered that the client stand trial. The State offered a plea agreement which would have resulted in the dismissal of some charges if the client kept his record clean. The offer was rejected and a trial date set. Prior to trial, the State dismissed all charges, telling the Judge it had insufficient evidence to win at trial.
